It’s Time to Fall Into Moisturizing Skincare.
There are many factors that cause changes in our skin (Skin is the body’s largest organ ~ our first line of defense against the elements ~ and is linked to everything that occurs within the body) such as, smoking, stress, tanning beds, processed foods, prescription drugs and the seasons of the year.
Drier air will certainly bring woes to our skin. The air lacks moisture which can lead to dull and dry skin. Also, going from a heated indoor facility into the colder outdoors wreaks havoc on our skin. If you don’t have a humidifier in your home and/or office, I highly suggest you purchase one.
Now that summer has officially faded away, there are skin care products available to reverse sun damage and as Fall and Winter arrive, you just might need to change your skin care regimen. Always remembering that sunscreen is just as important during the cold months as it is during the warm months.
Take into consideration the stress involved in the upcoming holidays: Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukkah, and the arrival of the New Year, which, inevitably seems to leave little time for ourselves.
In the skin care industry, dermatologists struggle with prescribing the right medicine for their patients. Hundreds of dollars are spent with varying results.
“Regimen is superior to medicine.” Voltaire ~ author/philosopher. A “perfect-fit” prescription is called a regimen. Since Kara Vita regimens are designed by skin type, they are easy to prescribe. We suggest you use products that are infused with high quality, pure, potent botanicals, vitamins and antioxidants. We choose to offer Kara Vita’s pharmaceutical grade skin care products (which are made at the highest standards in the skin care industry).
Antioxidants, build up the skin’s natural defenses to combat the occurrence of free radical activity i.e. Green Tea, Vitamins A, C E, & K etc.
Ingredient Highlight: Florasun is a special grade of sunflower seed oil which is used in Kara Vita products. The oil is made from pressing sunflower seeds of a particular strain of sunflower grown just for this purpose. The resulting oil is clear and odorless and very resistant to oxidation. Florasun contains a large percentage of oleic acid, which is commonly found in the natural oils produced by the skin. This emollient oil is easily absorbed into the skin and is hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic.
Body Tip: Lock in Moisture
- Use a gentle, soap-free, moisturizing cleanser.
- Set shower temp to lukewarm and keep shower time short :05 – :10.
- Use a soft cleanser applicator.
- Towel-dry, but leave skin a bit moist (pat dry).
- Apply moisturizer to still damp skin.
Don’t use the same body moisturizer on your face as your face has a different moisturizing requirement.
Treat yourself, and others, to a gift of great skin.
